The Shop and the Cumberland Valley Visitors Center

Tuesday – Friday: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Saturday: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Sat. closing times may vary due to special events)

History on High – The Shop and the Cumberland Valley Visitors Center are located at 33 West High Street in the heart of downtown Carlisle’s historic district.

A large collection of reproduction photographs is available, many featuring the Carlisle Indian Industrial School, as well as a huge array of published materials regarding county history. 

The Shop highlights also the fine artistry and craftsmanship of county artists, including paintings, fine jewelry, textiles, pottery, metalwork, wood carvings, clothing, and food items.

In addition, Dickinson College and Cumberland County information is available through the Visitors Center which is located inside The Shop.

Members of the Cumberland County Historical Society receive a 10% discount. Active and Retired military (with an ID) receive 5% off which can be stacked with the member discount.
