Carlisle Crime Series Book Signing

Joan L. West, the author of the Carlisle Crime Case mysteries will be at History on High – The Shop on First Friday August 5, from 5 to 8 pm (also the Welcome Jam for our new US Army War College students).  Join us to meet local author Joan (Jody) West and learn about her newest book in the series: Darkness at First Light and read about a gruesome murder at Molly Pitcher’s gravesite and the trail Detective Christopher Snow and Erin McCoy take to solve in her new mystery crime novel set in Carlisle PA. All of her books will be 10% off at the book signing! The earlier book titles are: Dying for Vengeance, Carlisle Crime Case #1and Courting Dark and Darkness, Carlisle Crime Case #2. A perfect read for a lazy summer day – all of her books are available for sale at the shop. Joan, Professor Emerita of English Studies, who writes and volunteers, is now retired and lives in Carlisle. Book number 4 in the series should arrive in September. Light refreshments will be served.  History on High – The Shop is located at 33 West High Street in Carlisle.

History on High is the museum shop for the Cumberland County Historical Society and also host to the Cumberland Valley Visitors Center. It has a variety of gifts, art and merchandise for all ages and tastes.
