Pine Grove Furnace, CCC, POW Interrogation Camps, and Camp Michaux Research Collection
MG-146: This is a research collection started as the research for the book Secret War at Home: The Pine Grove Furnace Prisoner of War Interrogation Camp by John Bland. In Cooke township in southwestern Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, there is a 200-acre area that has
been witness to a unique set of historical events over the past 220 years. As research about this site has continued, materials have been added to the collection. Some of these records are photocopies of materials held at other repositories including the Adams County (PA) Historical Society, National Archives, and Gettysburg College.
