African American Collection
MG-072: The African American Collection contains information about the abolition and anti-slavery movement. Information about the McClintock Slave Riot, led by a white abolitionist John McClintock and local Underground Railroad routes are also included. This collection also details the developments of the drive to equalize the treatment of races including the early education of Blacks in the Carlisle area.
