History on High-The Shop
         and the Cumberland Valley Visitors Center

History on High - The Shop and the Cumberland Valley Visitors Center are located at 33 West High Street in the heart of downtown Carlisle’s historic district.  The Shop highlights the fine artistry and craftsmanship of county artists, including paintings, fine jewelry, textiles, pottery, metalwork, wood carvings, clothing, and food items. A large collection of reproduction photographs are available, many featuring the Carlisle Indian Industrial School, as well as a huge array of published materials regarding county history.  In addition, Dickinson College and Cumberland County information is available through the Visitors Center which is located inside The Shop.

Cumberland Valley Visitors Center
Located inside the unique History on High Shop in downtown Carlisle, the Cumberland Valley Visitors Center has everything you need to plan your trip to Cumberland Valley, PA.  Stop by for valuable visitor information including directions, suggestions and recommendations from trained and friendly staff.  We can provide brochures on arts and entertainment, area attractions, dining and lodging, outdoor recreation, and shopping.  Open Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. (33 West High Street, Carlisle, PA).
